Language Arts Reflection I picked my persuasive essay to reflect upon. Essayists have to think about their world and have opinions about what they observe. They stick to the main idea and write at least five paragraphs. Each paragraph sticks to the main idea or topic. Introductory paragraph includes a thesis statement that clearly states the writer’s position. They have three reasons or proof to support the thesis. Each reason or proof paragraph has a topic sentence. Each reason or proof paragraph has at least three supporting sentences that relates to the topic sentence of each paragraph. Each reason or proof paragraph includes appropriate examples, details, and other evidence to support the writer’s argument. Essayists use the “successful paragraph method” so that they’re sentences aren’t boaring. Concluding paragraph restates the thesis without being repetitive. Essayists edit their piece. These are all of the things that make an essayist great.
In this piece I have done very good staying on topic which is why my piece doesn’t confuse people. In my essay I wrote five paragraphs to explain my point more thoroughly and my introductory paragraph included a very good thesis statement. I definitely need to stop being so repetitive in my concluding paragraph. Most of all I need to edit my piece that was the whole reason that I didn’t get a perfect score on this piece. I do hope I have made this piece a memorable one.
